About Us

Display of jewelry with various designs and styles.

On any given Sunday you'll find a dozen regulars calling out bingo numbers at Elks Lodge Liberty, cards spread across folding tables, someone's grandmother winning the pot, and the kind of easy laughter that takes years of shared history to produce. This is not a polished event venue. It is a real community hall where the food is honest, the welcome is genuine, and the calendar is always full.

The Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks has operated lodges like this one across America for over 150 years, and the Liberty chapter carries that tradition with local flavor. Vendor fairs draw crafters and shoppers from across Sullivan County. Holiday events bring families in for pictures with Santa, leaving grandkids with memories that get retold at dinner tables for years. A 4.5-star rating across 42 reviews says it plainly: people leave happy.

Membership keeps this place running, and the Lodge is actively looking for new Elks to join the fold. Whether you grew up in Liberty, NY or just moved to the Catskills, there is a seat at this table with your name on it.

What We Offer

The Lodge at 21 John Street runs a full social calendar that punches well above its zip code. Sunday bingo is the anchor event, drawing regulars week after week for friendly competition and a chance to catch up with neighbors over a no-fuss bite to eat. The kitchen keeps things simple and satisfying, exactly what a community hall should offer.

Beyond bingo, the Lodge hosts vendor and craft fairs throughout the year, giving local makers and shoppers a lively indoor marketplace right in downtown Liberty. Seasonal events like the Santa photo event fill the hall with families and create the kind of low-key holiday magic that bigger venues charge a fortune to manufacture. Private event rentals and Elks membership programs round out the offerings, giving both current members and curious newcomers a clear path to getting involved.

"Super fun community experience at the Elks lodge today! They had pictures with Santa Claus 🎄. It was delightful and so kind and generous of them to host. We took my grandson and he had a grand time! They handed out a gift, a delicious lunch a bag of food for each family and a free framed picture with Santa. Thank you very much. We are thankful and filled with gratitude 😌"

The Elks gave America
Flag Day.

Long before it was a national observance, the Order set aside June 14th to honor the flag. Patriotism has always been one of our cardinal principles, and every lodge meeting still closes the same way it has for over a century.
